Planting the garden

We finally got to the point where we could actually put the plants in the ground. The tomato plants were already in their hanging pots, but we still had to weed the area and add more soil. On Friday, it was a sunny day so we planted the rest of the veggies. We first had to paint the spot where we took out the deck and Noah was a great worker. Of course he loved the painting. Rebecca supervised him and tried to do a little painting herself.

So we will see how things turn out this year. We have never had a garden before, but we are excited to see what happens

Noah has been so excited to actually put the plants in the ground and he did a great job. We really enjoy these Fridays where Rebecca, Noah and I are off. We have a good time together.

Such a careful painter but you can see that little look on his face that says, "I have a paint brush in my hand and there is so much that I can do with it."

I have the watering stance down pat. One hand in the pocket as I stand there and water the garden. Not too hard.

These are the pumpkin and zucchini plants that we have planted.

On Friday night, Rebecca had a class and so we were having a boys night. Jonah and Noah invited some friends over for some trampoline, hot dogs and lemonade. They played for hours and had a great time. We have certainly gotten our monies worth out of that thing. We have sure loved it.

The boys also "forced" me into making cupcakes for them, so this was a mini birthday party for them. I loaded them with sugar and then sent the kids home to their parents. Our kids crawled into bed that night just exhausted. It was a great day all around
